View this Videotribute MR. CECIL C. “RICK” CARDEN, JR. DURHAM: Mr. Cecil C. “Rick” Carden, Jr., 50, died Thursday evening at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Carden was born in Durham Co., the son of Pauline Pearce Carden of Durham and the late Cecil C. Carden, Sr. He was employed as a manager of Printing Services at Measurement, Inc. Rick was a 1975 graduate of Northern High School. He was a member of the Lions Club. In addition to his mother, Mr. Carden is survived by a son, Cecil Crowder Carden, III of Durham; daughter, Paula Joy Carden of Rougemont; sister, Lisa Carden Brown and fiancée Drew Hodgin of McLeansville; nephew, Ronnie K. Brown of Greensboro; and his fiancée, Linda Rollin of Durham. Funeral services will be held Monday 2 p.m. at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with the Rev. Ted J. Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
