            DURHAM:  Mrs. Frances A. King, 79, of Durham, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, June 20, 2008.  She was born in Durham, the daughter of the late Donnie Gibson Stanton and Noah Stanton.  Mrs. King was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and active with the Ladies Bible Class. She was formally employed at Ole’ NC BBQ for eleven years. She and Ed cared for many family members by taking them into their home in time of need or illness.       

 

            She is survived by her husband, James “Ed” King; daughters, Patricia King Moore and husband Bill of Durham, Donna King Cribb and husband Paul of Luray, Virginia, and Pamela King Campbell of Durham; son, James “Jimmy” King and wife Tena of Durham; brother, J.D. Stanton of Atwater, California; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and her pet Boston Terrier “Baby Kingsley”.

 

            Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 pm at Clements Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jack Cox, Pastor Ron Christ, and Gary McCorkle officiating.  Casket bearers include grandsons and a family friend.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Clements Funeral Home.
