View this Videotribute Mr. Harold “Spence” O’Neal, 72, of Durham, died Friday, July 4, 2008. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Walter Ivan O’Neal and Katherine Moore Tart. Mr. O’Neal was a member of Glenn School Rd. Baptist Church, and served as a deacon. He was the owner and operator of O’Neal’s Upholstery. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Bowles O’Neal; daughters, Anne O’Neal McCullen and husband, Donald, Angelia O’Neal Walker and husband, Floyd; son, William Anderson O’Neal; sister, Barbara Briggs; half-sisters, Betty O’Neal of Butner, Peggy Williams of Butner, Trudy Sparks of Granville County; grandchildren, Emily McCullen, Jamie McCullen, Sarah McCullen. Funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham, with Pastor Charles Wilson officiating. Casket bearers include Jimmy McCullen, Ronnie McCullen, Don Baker, Bill Conn, Lynn Yow, and Earl Yow. Entombment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, 6-8 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to Glenn School Rd. Baptist Church, 1815 Glenn School Rd. Durham, NC 27704. He was the greatest husband, father, and Pa Pa anyone could ever ask for and will be truly missed.
