View this Videotribute MRS. JANET KIMBRO GARRARD DURHAM: Mrs. Janet Kimbro Garrard, 84, of 2802 Cammie Street, died Wednesday night. Mrs. Garrard was born in Durham Co., the daughter of the late Bessie K. Green and the late Hoyt Kimbro. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy. She worked for twenty years as a private duty nurse at Watts Hospital. Prior to retirement, she also served as an office manager at Garrard Plumbing Company for 5 years. Mrs. Garrard is survived by her husband, John T. Garrard; a daughter, Debra Garrard of Ball Ground, GA; son, Robert Frank Garrard of Durham; five grandchildren, John T. Garrard, II, Robert Ché Garrard, Michael Chase Hales, Rachel Plotzke and John Garrard Robie; and four great grandchildren, Isabella Garrard, Elena Garrard, Jackson Hales and Stella Hales. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Chaplain Arvyette M. Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chase Hales, John T. Garrard, II, Johnny Goss, Robert Ché Garrard, John Garrard Robie and Frank Garrard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. The family is being assisted in Durham by Clements Funeral Service, Inc.
