View this Videotribute THELMA EDWARDS PEELE  DURHAM: Mrs. Thelma Edwards Peele, 91, passed away at her home on Hope Valley Road in Durham Friday night.  Mrs. Peele was born in Durham, the daughter of the late John Wesley Edwards, and the late Mary Snipes Edwards.  She is also preceded in death by her husband Joseph T. Peele.  Thelma was a charter member of Horton Road Free Will Baptist Church in Durham.  She was also a part of Women in Action.  She retired from Duke Medical Center where she worked as a Supervisor in Anesthesiology.    Mrs. Peele is survived by her daughter, Jean P. Brown and husband, Harry of Durham; a son, Ronnie Peele and wife, JoAnn of Durham; three grandchildren, Scott Peele, Phil Brown, and Wendy Knight; and seven great grandchildren, Lee Carlton, Emily Carlton, Brittany Ferrell, Ryan Knight, David Ferrell, Megan Peele, and Savannah Knight.  A Funeral Service is scheduled for 1pm Monday, June 9, at Horton Road Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Harry Brown officiating, burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.   Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to Horton Road Free Will Baptist Church at 1315 Horton Road Durham NC 27704.  The Family is being assisted in Durham by Clements Funeral Service, Inc.
